O paiN (antigo CNB Gaming) será mais uma vez o representante do Brasil no tradicional campeonato espanhol GameGune, que teve o MIBR como vencedor na edição de 2008. O torneio acontecerá entre os dias 22 e 24 de Julho na cidade de Bilbao e contará com a participação de 21 times, inicialmente divididos em quatro grupos. Os dois primeiros de cada grupo avançam para a Upper. Os terceiros colocados também passam para a Fase Eliminatória, mas terão que começar pela parte de baixo da tabela, a Lower.
Em 2010, o CNB surpreendeu a comunidade nacional ao anunciar que iria participar da competição e conquistou um bom 5º lugar, depois de perder para o wCrea, da França. Em 2011, o time volta à GameGune, representando uma nova organização, que defendem desde o início de Maio.
Fortes adversários não faltarão para o time brasileiro. O SK Gaming renovou sua line-up e, desde a entrada de Marcus “Delpan” Larsson, venceu o seu arquirrival fnatic em três oportunidades e ainda foi campeã da DreamHack Summer e do Intel Challenge Super Cup. São, portanto, os principais candidatos ao título, ao lado dos ucranianos do Natus Vincere, que terminou na 3ª colocação da última DreamHack e venceu o Adepto BH Open 2011 em cima do fnatic.
Apesar do momento não ser dos melhores, tendo até que mudar de ideia quanto a saída de Faruk“pita” Pita, o fnatic não pode ser menosprezado, pois é um time acostumado a vitórias, que sempre briga pelas competições. Com tempo para treinar a nova line-up, a equipe liderada pelo veterano Patrik “cArn” Sättermon tem a oportunidade de se recuperar dos últimos tropeços.
O campeonato terá ainda a participação do ESC Gaming, que tem players da Suécia e da Noruega,Moscow Five, da Rússia, x6tence, da Espanha, e k1ck eSports Club, de Portugal.
